Crowdstrike is Racing

We are excited to show you the new Crowdstrike livery for the Pirelli World Challenge racing.   George had great success at the debut of the car and team in Elkhart Lake at Road America with a qualifying run placing him 5th overall, and a finish, due to braking and transmission troubles, in the top twelve.

TRG-Aston Martin Racing, CrowdStrike CEO George Kurtz Partner for PWC

June 20, 2016,

PETALUMA, CA (June 20, 2016): TRG-Aston Martin Racing is pleased to announce a new partnership with the cybersecurity firm, CrowdStrike, and its co-founder and CEO, George Kurtz. The executive will drive the No. 04 TRG Aston Martin V8 Vantage at three Pirelli World Challenge races this season. TRG-AMR is revealing its partnership, the new driver addition, and the custom CrowdStrike-themed Aston Martin in advance of the car’s first outing at Road America this June.

Kurtz is a serial entrepreneur and started CrowdStrike, his second company, back in 2011. Though he is busy travelling the globe for his role with his Irvine, California-based firm, Kurtz is no stranger to racing. He brings competition experience from the Radical Cup to the TRG-AMR squad, where he’ll join current team drivers Derek DeBoer, Jason Alexandridis, Kris Wilson and Max Riddle.

CrowdStrike’s involvement with TRG is prominently featured on the car, with the company’s bold logo forming the stunning black and red Aston Martin Vantage livery. Kurtz will race the No. 04 at Road America, Sonoma, and Laguna Seca, while his company’s guests enjoy the TRG-AMR race paddock hospitality. “Partnering with TRG is a great move for both CrowdStrike and a great platform for our customers and partners,” said Kurtz. “From a corporate perspective, bringing our business network to the race paddock will energize our invited guests and the visceral experience of racing instantly creates common ground. There’s just not a more effective ice breaker. Racing the TRG-Aston Martin Vantage — an aggressive, quick car — is the perfect metaphor for what our business does, and being the one to tie that together is going to be a fantastic venture.”

“This is going to be an excellent partnership and it’s an honor to have George in the car,” said Kevin Buckler, CEO of TRG-AMR. “CrowdStrike is hot, and George is leading the charge. Our paddock is a vibrant place to explore new business opportunities, and I cannot think of a better way to activate around that than to have the actual CEO of the company in the car and attending our weekend events. Plus, there’s another bonus: George is a racing driver! I was so impressed during our recent test day at how dedicated he is to his driving, and he’s respectful of jumping into this professional field. He was right on top of the pro driver times an and even wanted more. He likes to win: I love it!

“We are all preparing diligently for these three big events and look forward to delivering strong results for George and CrowdStrike, both on and off the track. Motorsports is a vibrant place to be doing business right now in so many ways, and we are proud to be helping a strong technology company like CrowdStrike achieve their goals.”

The team is at Road America this weekend, racing from June 23-26. The full schedule can be found at world-challenge.com.
